Transliteration:
Ya rabbana ahfiz lana jalalat as-Sultan
Wa-sh-sha'ba fi-l-awtan
Bi-l-'izzi wa-l-aman
Wa-l-yadum mu'ayada
'Ahilan mumajjada
Bi-n-nufusi yuftada
Wa-l-yadum mu'ayada

Ya 'Uman, nahnu min 'ahd in-Nabi
Awfiya' min kiram il-'Arabi
Fartaqi ham as-sama'
Wa-imla'i l-kawna d-diya'

Translation:
O Lord, protect for us His Majesty the Sultan
And the people in our homeland
With honor and peace
May he remain supported

We are loyal among the noble Arabs

The phrase "since the time of the Prophet", serving as a proud reference to Oman's voluntary adoption of Islam during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad around 630 CE. When the Prophet sent a diplomatic letter via his envoy Amr ibn al-Aas to the joint rulers of Oman, Jaifar and Abd (sons of Julanda), the Omani leaders embraced the new faith peacefully without military conflict—a historic moment of national pride that the anthem invokes ("O Oman, since the time of the Prophet, we are loyal among the noble Arabs") to highlight the country's unbroken legacy of faith, honor, and loyalty spanning over fourteen centuries.
